Water Garden
We were asked to design a water feature over a previously flat lawn. the client wanted something that looked like it has always been there and something that really looked impressive. We took inspiration from the natural spring valleys around the island and worked closely with a water specialist to make sure a natural looking flow rate would be achieved.
The water stream will feature a millboard bridge and a collection of architectural and soft planting to contrast and compliment the large Jersey granite rocks that will line the inside and outside of the feature.
The project is currently underway and is due to finish just before the new year.
A concrete lining has been used on this project to combat the problem of sand and sharp rocks that are so prevalent in the soil on this site. Having a concrete lining will also ensure this water feature lasts for several lifetimes, it is a true legacy garden feature for the client.
